The aim of the test was to define the direct influence of the tested product on the skin moisture level. The assessment of skin moisturizing level have been performed by using the Corneometer® CM 825 (Courage + Khazaka electronic GmbH, Germany). The measurements of moisturizing effect have been performed at the site of application before product application (D0) and after 28 days (D28) of regular use. All measurements have been carried out under standard conditions (T°= 20±2ºC and relative humidity 50±10%). The test subjects were aged between 28 and 67 years old of various skin types, including sensitive.

Findings of the study:

• The product Bious Anti-Aging Regenerating Face Cream moisturizes the skin
• The test product improves skin hydration up to 20% (average 8%)
• The test product is effective for all subjects (100% of subjects with positive effect)

Instrumental test of biomechanical skin parameter

The aim of the test was to define the direct influence of the tested product on biomechanical skin parameter by using the Cutometer® MPA 580 (Courage + Khazaka electronic GmbH, Germany). The measurements have been performed at the site of application before product application (D0) and after 28 days (D28) of regular use. All measurements have been carried out under standard conditions (T°= 20±2ºC and relative humidity 50±10%). The test subjects were aged between 28 and 67 years old of various skin types, including sensitive.

Findings of the study:

Skin elasticity

• The product Bious Anti-Aging Regenerating Face Cream improves skin elasticity
• The test product improves skin elasticity up to 34% (average 14%)
• The test product is effective for all subjects (100% of subjects with positive effect)

Skin firmness

• The product Bious Anti-Aging Regenerating Face Cream improves skin firmness
• The test product improves skin firmness up to 24% (average 16%)
• The test product is effective for all subjects (100% of subjects with positive effect)

Dermatological test

The patch test study was performed under dermatological control on a group of 25 volunteers. The volunteers were healthy, with negative allergy history. The selection of the group included the criteria of inclusion and exclusion. General inclusion criteria: healthy men and women over 18 years old, phototype: I-IV on Fitzpatrick scale, Caucasians, skin without irritations and changes requiring pharmacological treatment. General exclusion criteria: volunteers who use any treatment on the skin area subject to the study, volunteers exhibiting or having a known history of acute or chronic dermatological, medical and/or physical conditions that could influence the outcome of the study, pregnant or breastfeeding women or women planning a pregnancy during the study. None of the volunteers reported documented oversensitivity or history of adverse reactions to individual ingredients of the product tested.
